- For your info, CSM are having great problems with the manufacturers of the
- Meiko computer you are using for your e-mail.

- Effectively, they just can't get a version of thier daughter board for the
- SPARCstation 2 host which will work properly with the synchronous serial
- ports.

- The daughter board wasn't designed to be able to cope with the extra lines
- needed for synchronous communications (ie TXclock and RX clock) and they had
- to cludge the connection using jump wires from one connector to another!

- They are thinking of ditching the whole thing and buying either a
- SPARCstation 2 or a SPARCstation 10 to replace it.
